Who are the Aquatic Park Neighbors (APN)?
We are a neighborhood association of over 250 residents, small-business people, and concerned citizens who work to preserve and promote this diverse neighborhood. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month. Please read on for more information.

What is the Aquatic Park Neighborhood?

The Aquatic Park Neighborhood is the historic residential and business area bordered by Leavenworth St./Columbus Ave. to the East, Francisco St. to the South, Van Ness Ave. to the West and the waterfront to the North. The map is here.


Join Us

By joining the Aquatic Park Neighbors you will have opportunities to participate in neighborhood events, meet your neighbors, learn about volunteer opportunities, city initiatives, and contribute your voice to positive changes in the area. Membership is (still) free and committees are open to your particular interests. Join today. Parking permits. In March, 2012 the SFMTA notified all Contractor Permit holders of a draft proposal to restrict permit use within 1,500 feet, or three blocks, from the primary or satellite business office address. For more information click here

A Senior Produce Market is coming to Aquatic Park Center in May. Watch this space for more details as they become available.

Sit / Lie ordinance is a hot button topic especially in merchant / business corridors. Officers are actively engaging persons who are sitting on the sidewalk or who are sleeping on the street and assessing their situation for referral to assistance facilities or jail.


Call 553-0123 or 311 if you are dealing with a situation in your neighborhood where the streets and sidewalks are being blocked or impeded by persons sitting or lying for no reason.


This is not directed solely at those persons classified as homeless, but includes persons drinking alcohol in public, engaged in begging or entertainment and their presence violates the law.
