Academy of Art
2011: The Academy of Art bought the Cannery.
October 11, 2011: The Academy is planning to house the Sculpture Department in the Cannery building. They
estimate 500 students and support staff coming in small groups at various times during the week.
Academy students are participating in the development of Conrad Square.
Academy students are making a documentary movie about the PIERsafe Emergency Preparedness project. They
anticipate the movie will be available on the PIERsafe website. Academy students are participating in the
development of the PIERsafe website.
